Dr. Dimitrios Brachos holds a PhD in knowledge management from the Department of Management Science and Technology of the Athens University of Economics & Business (2007), a MSc in IT, Management and Organisational Change from Lancaster University in UK (dissertation marked with distinction) (2002) and a BSc in Economics from University of Pireaus (2001). His research was co-funded by the Greek General Secretarial for Research & Technology, Ministry of Development, by the European Social Fund and by the Commercial Bank of Greece. Among others, he participated in many research projects in the field of knowledge management and R&D assessment. He has published over 15 research papers in academic journals and scientific conferences (e.g., Journal of Knowledge Management, International Journal of Information Technology and Management, International Journal of Applied Systemic Studies, Academy of Management Annual Meeting - in the Best Paper Proceedings).
His research interests concentrates on knowledge management, knowledge sharing, social context and R&D evaluation. From 2006, Dr. Brachos is a research analyst of the European Commission (DG Enterprise and Industry) in the analysis and evaluation of the impact on innovation of publicly funded research programmes (FP 5 and FP6 projects).
